I thought the course was beneficial in terms of interview skills and overall presentation to an employer, i.e. what to do and what not to do in an interview. We all think we know these things as common sense but I found that I was not aware of certain aspects until asked or tested. I learnt a lot about conduct and speech when in an interview, which I took a bit for granted prior to the course. As a result I have gained a position in Marks & Spencer's over the Christmas period, and hopefully for longer.

I thought the tutor was genuine in helping his pupils. He was attentive and encouraging, unlike those at CDG who I was placed with from Monday. Quite frankly I am relieved to have found employment as they have done absolutely nothing of interest for me, let alone take interest IN me. Also, I would like to thank you for referring me to many opportunities.

I think the training has done me well, it has really helped me with interview skills and how to prepare more for them.
I also think it definately helped me with role play interviews which I am glad about as my interview for M&S 2nd stage was a role play.
I would also like to keep in contact with Strive Training staff, if any other interview that I would be suitable for, come up.

The strive training course in Barnet college is a good course if you are not prepared for a professional job role, they helped with interview techniques, CV and other skills you would need to be ready for a job. Our tutor helped make sure we made notes of everything we learnt with him. Every day we would have to learn new things on how to deal with situations and how not to. I believe the course was helpful to get back into a job.
